I now hate Livestream: Dont use Procaster!

I haven't had a Livestream since the holidays, and I was planning on doing another soon to complete my Kappa Mikey showings. But recently I discovered sound issues with my computer. After two weeks of waiting and troubleshooting with the guys at the Genius Bar (cause I use a MacBook), they discovered it wasn't an issue with the hardware, but with a bit of software I installed! Unfortunately, this particular software is Livestream Procaster, which I use to host my livestreams, and it contains a new file called 'audioredirector' that, when added to your System, can completely mess up your computer's audio output options to prevent you from hearing anything!! Oh, and uuuuhh... here's something funny: I'm not the only one who's apparently REALLY annoyed by this!

Apparently, this problem has been going on SINCE 2010, EVEN THOUGH LIVESTREAM KEPT REASSURING PEOPLE ON THAT FORUM THEY WERE LOOKING INTO IT FOR FUTURE VERSIONS OF THE APPLICATION!!  Whoops, Livestream!

Do not use Procaster.  It has the extension called Audioredirector, and can completely hijack your sound, and maybe even, crash your computer.

Call Livestream to complain.  Now. This is unacceptable professionalism.

I will tell you on my journal entry if I find an alternate way to host streams elsewhere.  I know Livestream offers a way to stream without downloading software, but I may not take that risk.  I nearly thought I eventually had to turn my Mac into repairs for a week!
